The store name HOOD, which is used in hip hop to mean "local", reflects the owner's desire to create a place where the locals can come and go.
There are a wide variety of rare American beers, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and fruity sweet sake, and the snacks are also very delicious, so you'll want to stop by on your way home from work or on a weekend night.
