Area moss camp field

moss camp field

``Moss'' in the facility's name means moss, and they hold moss terrarium exhibits and a moss-throwing festival. Moss lovers from all over the country gather for a project that gradually turns the site into a moss-covered campsite. Of course, it can also be used by people who are not fans of moss! The entire site is an ideal campground reminiscent of an English farm. There are plenty of things to see, such as stylish accommodation buildings such as a cave made of foam domes, an administration building that resembles a British building, and records and a terrarium in the administration building. What you can enjoy on a day trip to Moss Camp Field is the BBQ experience at The Barn, a dining room that uses a greenhouse for growing plants. We recommend the empty-handed plan, where you can enjoy local Yamanashi beef and Yamanashi's specialty, ``Hoto.''

About BBQ

There are 3 types of empty-handed BBQ plans.

The ``Premium'' includes beef from Yamanashi Prefecture, the ``Standard'' includes original meat selected by a famous local butcher, and the ``Bring Your Own Ingredients Plan'' includes equipment such as a stove and cooking utensils. In particular, the beef from Yamanashi Prefecture is a dish that is very satisfying in terms of texture and elasticity, with juicy meat that spreads in your mouth even after grilling. Also, one of the attractions is that both of the two plans come with a plate of hoto. Since it's a board, you can try your hand at cutting the noodles, and if you have kids, they'll give you cookie cutters, so you can have fun making hotou with shapes like stars and animals. There is also an option to add an original kids set with menu items that children will love, such as frankfurters, hamburgers, mini pizzas, and cream puffs.

Other topics

Mos Camp Field is full of predictions that it will undergo further upgrades, such as the addition of a dog run-like site where dogs can enjoy themselves, and the sale of sweets made with strawberries. The ``Moss Festival'' is held around the end of June every year, and there are many events such as fireworks and moss-throwing festivals. In addition, the administration building exhibits a terrarium grown in a glass container, and the on-site farm also grows moss and summer strawberries, so there are many ways to make it easy for visitors to play with plants. Hananomiyako Park is also nearby, so this facility is recommended for people who want to get in touch with nature.
