As this intersection is the exit for the Chubu-Tokaidō Expressway and the starting point of the southern section of the New Yamanashi Ring Road, considerable traffic congestion is expected to occur around it.
At the Minami-Alps IC on the Chubu-Odan Expressway, there is a considerable traffic jam of cars waiting to exit. It is better to get off at the Shirane IC or Masuho IC just before the Minami-Alps IC.
Meanwhile, the New Yamanashi Ring Road is also expected to be congested from the Kofu area. You can also get off at the Wakakusa ramp just before and take a detour from the general road.
