Interview

An essential place where you can work hard in the present in order to achieve your dreams.

Part-time job | Kitchen/Floor

Rainbow Fujimori

Q. What made you apply to LA PAIX?

I was looking for a part-time job in the customer service industry, such as a cafe, and was looking for a job. Then I came across a job opening at LaPaix, and remembered that I used to go there often with my mother and sister. My mother recommended it, and it was also a cafe I really liked, so I applied.

Q. What is the appeal of being a cafe staff member?

The most enjoyable part of working as a café staff member is communicating with customers. It makes me really happy when customers leave with a smile on their face and satisfaction, and that is what makes my job most rewarding. When I work happily and enthusiastically, customers naturally smile too, and seeing those smiles makes me smile even more and feel happy myself.

Q. On the other hand, what is difficult?

To be honest, the job content is not that different from what I expected, and I'm having fun being a cafe staff member, which is something I've always dreamed of. However, it's really busy during busy periods, and since I'm mainly in charge of the floor, I'm on the move all day, so it's more physically demanding than I thought it would be. I really enjoy communicating with customers, but serving customers requires multitasking, so it can be tough.

Q. What is your current job?

Currently, I work shifts 4-5 days a week. I mainly serve customers, but also help out a little in the kitchen. Since it's a part-time job, my hours are relatively flexible, so I can work shifts at my own pace. As a high school student, I also like the fact that it's a comfortable working environment that allows me to maintain a good balance between school life, dance lessons, and part-time work.

Q. What is your dream for the future?

I'm 17 years old now, and I want to be successful in dance in the future. I'm currently taking various lessons at a dance school in Tokyo. Transportation and lesson fees are quite expensive, so I'm working hard at part-time jobs to save up money and put it towards my dream. At LaPaix, we all support each other's dreams, so it encourages me to work hard together.

Q: Any message to applicants?

At LaPaix, we share what we think is good with all our staff, and our corporate culture is one in which we all support each other and work hard to achieve it. There are many cheerful people, and the members are warm and family-like, so you can work with peace of mind. If you like relaxation and surprises, I'm sure you'll be a good fit for LaPaix, so please apply.
