Q. What made you apply to LA PAIX?

I was originally interested in working in the travel industry and had even obtained qualifications, but with COVID-19 in full swing, that became difficult. I love French toast and would go there every time I went home, but then I came across a job opening and thought it would be great to work at such a wonderful restaurant, so I applied.

Q. What was your first employment status?

Since it wasn't the type of job I wanted, I was asked to try it out as a three-month contract employee at first, which allowed me to take on the challenge without any burden. As I got started, I realized how interesting the work was, and with the support of my superiors, I was very happy when it led to me being promoted to full-time.

Q. What is the appeal of LA PAIX?

The environment is perfect for growth! There are opportunities to put your ideas into practice, and they support your challenges. You can experience a wide range of tasks, including customer service, cooking, and store management, and even those without experience can aim to become team leaders in the future. Not only can I make use of my strengths, but the president also told me that I am good at system input, app management, and cost accounting, and he brought out abilities I hadn't even realized I had.

Q. What is rewarding about your job?

Through cooking at La Paix and interacting with customers, I am once again able to appreciate the good things about my hometown, Yamanashi. I find it rewarding to be able to serve dishes using local ingredients and convey the charms of Yamanashi to people who come from far away. I was interested in working in the travel industry, so one of the reasons I want to continue working here is that the restaurant can serve as a tourist spot.

Q. What is the driving force behind your power?

It's the moments when customers are happy. I'm especially happy when I surprise them with a birthday plate and see their happy smile. I also make sure to keep my work and personal time separate, and go to a live concert once every three months to refresh myself. Having fun in my private life also helps me approach my work more positively.

Q: What is your dream right now?

I want to become someone who is admired both inside and outside the company. I would like to take on the challenge of training new employees and use my experience to become a trusted person who can support the growth of my juniors in a teaching role. I also want to create a work environment where all staff members feel glad to work here. I want to create an environment where everyone can work hard and be positive, while valuing the team atmosphere.
