Fumotto: A thorough look at the Southern Alps!
Fumotto Minami-Alps, a landmark of Minami-Alps City, Yamanashi Prefecture, will finally have its grand opening on June 2024, 6! Located at the foot of the mountains, this place will become a hub to revitalize the area and generate excitement, and so it was named "Fumotto," based on the keyword "more."
The vast grounds are divided into three areas: MOUNTAIN BASE, LOCAL BASE, and FARM BASE, and are lined with shops, restaurants, and other establishments where you can fully enjoy the charm of Yamanashi.
MOUNTAIN BASE
The theme of MOUNTAIN BASE is "play". With "CARNOSA" as its core, a place for outdoor fun in Yamanashi, it has off-road bicycles and a radio-controlled car course, so you can have fun and experience to your heart's content! In addition to outdoor shops, campsites, and RV parks, there is also an outdoor food court with trailer houses.

LOCAL BASE
The theme of LOCAL BASE is "shopping." In addition to the observation terrace with a panoramic view of the "Fumotto Southern Alps," there are a number of shops selling Yamanashi Prefecture's specialty products and traditional crafts! There are also a number of locally popular cafes and restaurants, where you can enjoy a relaxing meal or cafe time while looking out at Mt. Fuji.

FARM BASE
The theme of FARM BASE is "eating." At the entrance to "fumotto Minami Alps," you will be greeted by a buffet restaurant with over 150 seats, one of the largest in Yamanashi Prefecture. There is also a direct sales store for meat and a produce market.

A town information center will open on September 2024st in the temporary parking lot on the east side of Fumotto Minami-Alps, which will house a Costco facility due to open in spring 9. As a hub for tourism and transportation, staff from the Minami-Alps City Tourism Association will be on hand to provide tourist information about the city. As well as tourist facilities, staff who are familiar with the local area will also be able to provide information on restaurants and hidden gems. They'll be happy to answer all your questions, so be sure to stop by.
