CARNOSA Fumotto

Unlike specialty stores that enthusiasts gather at, such as "CAMP" and "INDOOR BIKE PARK" in Kofu Showa, "CARNOSA fumotto" is a store that serves as a gateway for beginners and those who are interested. In addition to selling outdoor equipment, bike accessories, and low-priced radio-controlled cars, you can actually try out mountain biking and radio-controlled cars here, so our editorial team tried them out for themselves!

Once you check in at the counter, your helmet and bike will be adjusted to fit you. Equipment can be rented, and the staff will gladly give you detailed instructions. Once you've adjusted the height to suit you, you'll be shown the basic posture, and then it's time to head out onto the course!

The Mountain Bike/BMX Park behind the store is an amazing 400m long! It's a full-loop course that stretches from the starting point to the back of the Trailer Village, then makes a U-turn and comes back.

First, take a short, gentle ride to get used to it. The basic rule is to stand, but you can sit down until you get used to it.
It looks like a lot of fun, but it's scarier than I thought! I thought there's no way I could stand up and pedal! But after riding it a few times, I realized I could do it!
After a few laps and getting used to it, reconfirm the basic posture and head out to the main course!

At the time of the interview, it had rained the day before, so we decided to ride only part of the final part of the course. Although I had been able to ride the bumpy course with its mountains and valleys until just a moment ago, the fear returned when the scenery changed...

They teach you tips each time, so before you know it, it feels great and is fun.
Even a super scaredy person like me was able to ride this well, so I'm sure even beginners will enjoy it!

Next, we went to try out the radio-controlled car! We drove the radio-controlled car at the "RV PARK" just before the bike course. As with the bike experience, we received an explanation of how to use it at the reception before heading out to the course.

It works by using a radio-controlled device called a "propo," which allows you to control forward and reverse with your left hand and left and right with your right hand.

Just hearing how to use it seems easy, but it's difficult because you can crash into the partitions, climb over them and get stuck! It takes about a day for beginners to get used to it. The more you operate it, the more excited you get, so even adults can enjoy it and go back to their childhood!
