Hoto Restaurant Fumoto
Located on the second floor of LOCAL BASE, Houtodokoro Roku is a restaurant where you can enjoy houtou, a popular local dish from Yamanashi.
This is a sister restaurant of Soba Roku, located inside RISONARE Yatsugatake, and the houtou that is only available at Soba Roku in winter can be enjoyed all year round.
The spacious restaurant has both table seating and bench seats, making it a convenient place for families to drop in.
In addition to the basic hoto, there are about six different arrangements on the menu, including pork kimchi and cheese, but the most popular is the "pork hoto"! The noodles are made with spring water from the southern foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains, and are heavy and chewy. The soup uses Shinshu miso, and is simmered with vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, taro, pumpkin, and carrots, along with Fujizakura pork, resulting in a gentle flavor that condenses the sweetness of the vegetables and the umami of the meat.
