In the second installment of the series, we will continue to Yamanashi's sightseeing spot "Lake Kawaguchi"!
Go out around "Tabi no Eki kawaguchiko base", a spot where you can enjoy everything from shopping to eating.
I don't feel like eating while walking this time, but I'm really happy that I can spend a relaxing time on this kind of trip.
I enjoyed a lot, such as popular lunches, exquisite sweets, and Mt. Fuji view spots again ~ ♡
Blessed with good weather today, me and nao-chan headed to the station.
Tabi no Eki is a complex that sells souvenirs from Yamanashi Prefecture.
This time, enjoy shopping with nao and momo~!
We visited “Asama Market” in Tabinoeki. There are many fresh fruits and vegetables in the prefecture here, and they all look fresh and delicious!
Discover Tabi no Eki's private brand "MEGU"!There are plenty of authentic sweets and seasonings such as sponge cake and handmade sauce, so it's perfect for souvenirs ♪
…When I looked next to me, nao-chan was staring at MEGU’s “corn dressing”.
After carefully checking the ingredient list, I immediately put it in the shopping cart (laughs).
Travel stations really have everything, including our favorite wines and snacks, but since we're girls, we also love cosmetics.
However, it is very difficult for me, who has sensitive skin, to choose basic cosmetics.
But but! Ever since nao-chan came across Matsuyama Yushi's "mother soap" sold at the travel station, her skin has become so beautiful, so let's buy this!and buy immediately.
Here's what nao and I finally bought!
Nao-chan bought four delicious-looking young corn, dressing, and a mother soap that was heavily rotated!!
In addition, we both bought kimchi from Hirose Shoten, which we both love.
After enjoying a lot of shopping, I'm kind of hungry.
So, we had a light meal at the "7c store & lounge" right next to the travel station.
By the way, our editor-in-chiefArticle of this shopI was writing in detail.
If you want to know more about this cafe and shop, check it out here.
Nao had a hot dog sandwiched with gibier sausage and wine from Seven Cedars Winery, and I had Fujizakura Pork.
The gibier hot dog uses TOYOSHIMA's original deer sausage. "It's too juicy!", impressed nao-chan!
The Fujizakura Pork that I ate was also delicious with the gravy spreading in my mouth.
Lunch is waiting for me later, so I was thinking of finishing with a light meal...
I'm growing up, so I got some sweets ♡
Cheesecake and creme brulee today.
I had the cheesecake, and it had a plump, rich texture that seemed to go well with red wine.I wanted to drink...!!! (laughs)
On this day, it was discovered that the manager of the 7c store & lounge, who was in charge, and nao-chan are acquaintances!
Thankfully, the manager, who knew that nao-chan was lazy, introduced us to a lot of wines, and nao-chan drank all of them (laughs).
And the "Snack Set" that matches the Seven Cedars Winery's Koshu Cuvée that I drank this time is sold in limited quantities on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Be sure to check it out if you're a lazy person like us or a wine lover.
After enjoying wine and snacks, we went for a walk to get off the beaten track (← nao-chan (laughs)) and visit Kawaguchiko Sengen Shrine.
If you climb the mountain for about 30 minutes on foot from Sengen Shrine, you will find Mt. Fuji in the back and a torii gate in front of you. Here you can see the sacred Mt.Fuji*worship from afarYou can!
*Worship from afar: Worshiping towards gods and buddhas from far away
If you are worried about going on foot, you can also drive up to the nearby area by car. (The road is narrow, so be careful.)
After walking a lot while gazing at the idyllic scenery, I started to get hungry again.
Returning to the vicinity of the travel station, we went to Manpuku, a very popular restaurant in Lake Kawaguchi, where there is always a line for lunch due to the abundance and deliciousness of the menu!
I decided to have the specialty "Tendon" and Lake Kawaguchi's B-grade gourmet "Kappa-meshi".
First of all, Tendon is served in front of you.Behold! This Soritatsu Tendon...!!
nao-chan smiled, saying, "The tempura rice bowl is already soaked in flavor and is delicious!"
This kappa-meshi is also a hearty dish with a lot of Fujizakura pork in the grated yam.The taste of grated yam and pork that melts in your mouth is irresistible♡
In addition, we even had the owner's recommended motsuni, which turned out to be "Manpuku" as the name suggests.
I will eat a lot on the next eating tour.
Next time, we will move a little and take a walk around "Fujiyoshida area"!
