~Magic of pottery

〇Month x Sun
I've loved cooking since I was little.
My mother bought Shogakukan's ``Fun Cooking'' for me.
This is a recipe book for elementary school students, and all of the recipes are easy to make.
There were lots of exciting ideas such as cutting out tomatoes to make them look like plates, arranging baguettes as containers, and decorating cakes in cute ways.

I'm sure the taste wasn't all that great, but everyone in my family was surprised by the elaborate presentation and cute arrangement of the dishes, and they complimented me.
Come to think of it, this may have been the beginning of my love for pottery.
The magic of pottery can make ordinary everyday food shine, add color to the table, and make everyone smile in an instant.

"Alp Shop & Studio" on the second floor of Americaya in Nirasaki is a small shop run by a photographer who loves the mountains, with books for pottery, photos for the outdoors, and a small shop that enriches your daily life.

Inside the store, there are rows of tableware made by artists from all over the country, selected by the owner from various angles.

On this day, the ``Oyatsu Utsuwa Exhibition'' is being held, and there are many containers in refreshing pastel colors that are reminiscent of spring!
I can't help but imagine how cute it would be to put some simple baked sweets on it, or how delicate Japanese sweets would go well with it.

Each of the artist's pottery has its own individuality, and the charm is that you can feel the difference and fluctuation in the expressions of each one, while also receiving the warmth and thoughts of the maker's hands, and the long story behind the creation.
Sewing Machine Pottery Creation's StiLL series has a picture frame-like relief that stands out clearly, and the matte nuanced colors are also nice.

For some reason, the pottery I've been picking up lately is always white.
Although it is a versatile player that goes well with any kind of cuisine and blends into any dining table or style, it is actually the most individualistic because of its simplicity.
White pottery that beautifully complements the surroundings while also having a strong individuality and resonates with brilliance makes me want to be like this as an adult woman.

The pottery, which is woven from various materials such as earth, wood, grass, and stone, spends the same time as me, breathing, growing, and changing together.
As you use it, it becomes a special member of your home, watching over your daily life together with your family and taking on the smell of home.

This is the magic of pottery.
Beyond that, the ordinary, yet irreplaceable and rich daily life that you spend with your family is endless.
