COMPASSION WORLD, a small multi-purpose complex, opened in Hokuto City on April 11, 2026. Since its full details are still largely unknown, many people are probably curious about what kind of facility it is.
"This isn't a special theme park; we aim to create a space that feels like an extension of everyday life," says the owner. A place where you can shop, listen to music, eat, and create...that's "COMPASSION WORLD."

COMPASSION WORLD is a small multi-purpose complex located in Takane-cho, Hokuto City, along the Kiyosato Line, which has been opening in stages since April 11, 2026. The complex includes a main building with a community space, music studio, shop, and mobile ordering for food and beverages, as well as a separate building housing Artlier, a creative space available for rent by the hour.
To use the facilities, you must first register with LINE. They are open from morning until late at night (※operating hours vary by store), are always locked, and you enter by scanning the barcode on your pre-registered pass or resident registration card.

The space right inside the entrance is a community space where you can freely spend your time, whether talking with someone, playing games, relaxing alone, or reading a book. The aim is to create "a place where you can naturally be yourself, even without a specific purpose."

Next to it is "Omohide Shoten," a shop with a wonderfully retro atmosphere. In a small space of about 4 tatami mats, a wide variety of goods such as daily necessities, food, and stationery are crammed together, making it feel like a mini convenience store. The extensive lineup of traditional Japanese sweets is also not to be missed! It seems like it would be a helpful shop for when you forget something or suddenly need something. This shop is also unmanned, so payment is done at the self-checkout. It is simple and easy to use, and accepts cash and various cashless payment methods.

Beyond the thick door lies a fully equipped music studio. Apparently, if you remove the door, the community space can be used as seating for mini-concerts.

The annex, "Artelier," is designed to resemble an arts and crafts room. You can use desks and pottery wheels donated from a closed school, and it's fully equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi. It offers a high degree of freedom for coworking, creative activities, and more, starting at 550 yen per hour. A 10-hour package is available for 3,300 yen, which works out to a bargain at 330 yen per hour.

The community space and "Omohide Shoten" will open on April 11, 2026, followed by a gradual opening of other facilities. The music studio "FEBBRAIO" is scheduled to open on April 25 (reservations begin on April 25, and can be made via the official LINE account), the mobile ordering service "Aozora Kitchen" on May 9, and the creative space "Artelier" on May 23.
