Kicking off 2026 is Okajima's "Winter Vacation Gourmet Festival"! From popular sweets like Akafuku to seafood bento and famous ekiben, delicious foods from all over Japan will be gathered in Okajima's basement event space and basement stage #B. New Year's special sales and new appearances from various shops are also happening, so head to Okajima now!

Okajima's first event of 2026, the Winter Vacation Gourmet Festival, will be held until January 12th, 2026 (national holiday)!

The highlight of this event is undoubtedly the "New Year Special Sale" ♪ In addition to the Akafuku mochi and Akafuku zenzai that always have long queues, there will also be a selection of Goudet des Rois white chocolate from "Gateau Festa Harada".

We recommend the reasonably priced 8-piece pack, which lets you enjoy both the traditional Ise specialty black mochi with its simple brown sugar flavor and the white mochi with its elegant sweetness of white azuki bean paste.

Don't miss the selection of famous ekiben from neighboring stations, too. Kanazawa Station's "Nodoguro and Crab Meshi Bento" and Nagoya Station's "Miso Fillet Cutlet Rice" will be making their first appearance, along with the ever-popular Shin-Kobe Station's "Kobe Sukiyaki and Steak Bento," as well as new ekiben that will be available on limited days.

The "Nodoguro and Crab Rice Bento" is a luxurious combination of the high-quality fish, Nodoguro, and crab, and is packed with such beautiful colors and a variety of flavors, yet it's also reasonably priced at 1,400 yen. Enjoy the slightly sweet Nodoguro and the delicious flavor of crab and feel the breeze of the Hokuriku region.

Not only is the Okajima product fair packed with seafood, but meat lovers will also be pleased! The meat team's top recommendation is the Sauce Katsudon Bento from Nagano Prefecture's Sauce Katsudon Meijitei. There are a variety of options, from shrimp fillet katsudon and sauce katsudon to sauce katsu manju wrapped in a moist, chewy skin.

But the best part of the Gourmet Festa is wanting to eat a whole lot of different things. For those of you who feel that way, the "Mini Sauce Fillet Cutlet Bento" is a must-try. The specially selected fillet cutlet, soaked in plenty of Meijitei's homemade sauce, is surprisingly juicy and tender even when cold. It's so delicious that you'll regret not ordering the mini one after all!

In the sweets category, we tried the Snow Scenery Apple Pie from Nagano Prefecture's "TEMO.jp atelier shop," which is making its first appearance. Instead of a jam base, the pie is made using only apple pulp and baked with custard, making it crispy and crunchy even on its own! It has a very light and gentle sweetness that makes it easy to eat. It is said to become fluffy when heated, so give it a try.

And... speaking of flour-based foods, it's got to be Osaka! How about the Hiroshima okonomiyaki from "Konamonya Konputon," also making its debut? It's a proud masterpiece made with takoyaki batter seasoned with bonito broth. It comes with shrimp and squid separately, and is a very filling dish, costing just 1,296 yen per pack.
