The long-awaited 120th Spring Hokkaido Products Exhibition, held again this year in Okajima until March 2, 2026, is bustling with visitors. The event is jam-packed with freshly caught seafood from Hokkaido, side dishes overflowing with the bounty of the northern land, and popular sweets!

The sight of gleaming seafood, such as sea urchin, salmon roe, scallops, and crab, lined up in a narrow space is overwhelming, like an upside-down treasure chest of the sea! From the melting orange jewels of a sea urchin specialty store to delicious-looking seafood bowls, melting cheese croquettes, and Hokkaido beef steaks, everything looks so delicious that it's hard to choose.

The extravagantly luxurious Seafood Boat Tempura Bowl (limited to 20 per day) from first-time exhibitor "Kita to Nan" is a must-buy. The "Large Sea Urchin and Scallop" from the sea urchin specialty store Seichiya was also hard to resist, but since I wanted to try a variety of dishes, I chose the "Half-Raw Sea Urchin Rice Half," which is limited to 20 per day to commemorate the 120th anniversary. And speaking of seafood feasts, here's the deluxe bento from "Tamonten," a popular seafood bowl takeout specialty store in Sapporo.
For sweets, we selected some cool, refreshing one-handed sweets and cute cow-patterned donuts.

This Rishiri Island seafood tempura is packed with familiar ingredients like octopus, scallops, abalone, and shrimp! The slightly sweet and fluffy tempura has a new texture that's sure to become addictive. Plus, the melt-in-your-mouth sea urchin in the "semi-dried sea urchin rice" will have you in ecstasy... Purchase some sea urchin soy sauce for 54 yen to bring out the creamy, rich sweetness and umami. This deluxe bento, brimming with glittering Hokkaido seafood, is also generously priced.

There will also be the "Furano Croquant Cheese Sandwich" (100 pieces available each day/on display until February 20th), made in Furano, where rich cheesecake is sandwiched between fragrant croquant with a nutty flavor. The sweet and sour mixed jam adds an accent.
Our top recommendation for fresh donuts at Machimura Farm is this cow-patterned one ♡ Not only is the cow pattern made with milk chocolate on a white chocolate base cute, but the moist and fluffy dough is also captivating.
