I decided to order the most popular dish, the gyoza with wings. Each serving contains six gyoza with beautiful golden brown wings. They are cooked for about 1 minutes and served piping hot.
The skin is crispy, and the meat juices overflow from the filling inside, filling your mouth with deliciousness. The homemade filling contains chives, cabbage, back fat, and a spice called five-spice powder, making it fragrant and giving it a unique and innovative taste that will have you eating as many as you want! The chili oil, which is a combination of about 16 different seasonings, is also perfect for changing up the flavor.
The boiled dumplings, all made from scratch, come in three varieties: "Simple Chewy Boiled Dumplings," "Shrimp Boiled Dumplings Covered in Green Onions," and "Sichuan Spicy Boiled Dumplings." As a shrimp lover, I chose the "Shrimp Boiled Dumplings Covered in Green Onions."
The dough is made with nothing extra, just Chiba Flour's "Golden Rose" flour and water, making it very chewy! The chunky shrimp and sour sauce stimulated my appetite, and I ate the whole thing in no time.
I'm not done yet, being a big eater! I'll have the "Sichuan Style Mapo Tofu", which is competing with the Winged Gyoza for the number one spot. It's a completely original dish made with chicken stock soup, peppercorns, Chinese soy sauce, etc., and it's very spicy! I can't stop eating it because of the addictive spiciness.
Although I couldn't drink it on the day of the interview because I was driving, the recommended drink is the blue Delaware sparkling "Katsunuma Vams Sparkling". The sweet, fruity and refreshing taste makes it the perfect pairing with gyoza.
Next time, I'll aim to try all the different kinds of gyoza along with some alcohol!
