The authentic Japanese restaurant "Wan Sashi Inaho" will be newly renovated and open in Isawa Onsen on December 2024, 12! For the time being, the restaurant will only be open in the evenings, and guests can enjoy colorful seasonal chef's choice dishes.

The Kiso Hinoki Course, a seven-item chef's choice menu, begins with a bite of Inaho's special salted herring, which was prepared in miso six years ago. The deep flavor that spreads the more you chew it, makes it the perfect accompaniment to sake.
The thick and flavorful kotake mushrooms are served with grated radish and salmon roe. The sourness of sudachi citrus makes them refreshing.
The soup is made with plenty of clams and crab. The owner, who has nine years of experience training at a Kyoto restaurant, has created a Kyoto-style soup with a gentle flavor that will soothe you.
The fresh sashimi is prepared with careful skill, highlighting the chef's craftsmanship.
And the main attraction of this course is the Kuroge Wagyu steak! It is served with grilled vegetables such as makomo mushrooms, paprika, and broccoli for a colorful look.
The tender, smooth meat melts in your mouth, and the sauce, which makes full use of the sweetness of the high-quality meat fat, creates a delicate harmony. As you would expect, a steak cooked by a Japanese chef is something special.
For the final meal, we had Norwegian salmon and hijiki rice, freshly cooked in a clay pot. The rice was flavored with bonito stock, and the salmon was soft and fatty, creating a superb taste! The accent of the plum was also great. You'll want seconds!
The special rich creme brulee-style pudding and apple compote add to the satisfaction of this course.
Lunch is also planned to start next spring. The "Daikokuten Lunch" will include eel, extremely fresh tuna, homemade grilled cod with saikyo miso, and freshly cooked rice in a clay pot, so look forward to that too!
