"BASE COFFEE STAND" will open on July 2024, 7, inside "BASE, a shoe shine specialty store" in Kamiishida, Kofu City! It is a rare coffee stand that is only open on Sundays and Mondays, which are the regular days when the shoe shine specialty store is closed, and is gaining popularity.

The owner, Mr. Inoue, said, "I wanted to open a café where you can get your shoes shined someday." He met Mr. Nakamura, who used to make coffee at Ichira Cafe, when he came to get his shoes shined. He opened a coffee stand next to the café and made his dream come true.
The shop has a relaxed atmosphere and is equipped with table seats and two-seater sofa seats, so you can relax and enjoy takeout or eat in. In addition, it is open until 2pm, so it is great for stopping by after work or on a night drive.

They use beans roasted by "Maruichi Coffee Roaster" and offer three types of roast: light roast, medium roast, and dark roast. The dark roast "Mexico" is the best! It is said that you can enjoy strong coffee like you would find in an old-fashioned coffee shop, which is hard to find these days, so I chose this one this time.
The dark roasted "Mexico" beans will remain the same, but the light and medium roasts will alternate each month.

The hot coffee carefully hand-dripped by Nakamura has a deep, impactful flavor, but a clean aftertaste! It has a lingering sweetness and a light mouthfeel, making it very easy to drink.

For baked goods, try the financiers from "pente kashi & coffee," which is scheduled to open in the winter of 2024. With a subtle sweetness and a rich buttery taste, they go perfectly with coffee.
In addition to financiers, the lineup also includes cookies and puddings that are only available for eat-in.

Now they are also launching "Café au Lait"! This photogenic two-layered cafe au Lait has a refined taste that combines the clean taste of coffee with the mellowness of milk, which goes well with coffee.
