A small bakery called "RueLLe Bakery" opened on July 2024th, 7, just off Alps Street in Nishiyawata, Kai City.
As the name of the shop, which means "alley" in French, suggests, it is quietly hidden behind Furuya Acupuncture and Bone Setting Clinic.

Inside there is a counter where you can eat in, but for now they are only offering take-out. They also sell coffee and lattes, so they plan to open up the eat-in space once things settle down.

As soon as the store opens, the display window displays a delicious selection of freshly baked, handmade bread.
The most popular item is the "Mentaiko French Bread" filled with Kanefuku's mentaiko! The soft French bread made with whole wheat flour from Hokkaido is fragrant, crispy and chewy on the inside. The yeast flavor is also richer the more you chew it. The secret ingredient is kombu tea!

Lunchtime sandwiches are also available daily. Unfortunately, the hugely popular "BLT," which even has homemade bacon, was not available today, so I got the pastrami pork sandwich. The soft and fluffy bread, the moderate saltiness of the pastrami pork, and the carrot rapée go perfectly together.

There is also a salted bread that is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a burst of buttery flavor in every bite. The Guérande salt is also irresistibly delicious.
The croissants are made from 32 layers of hand-folded puff pastry, and are incredibly crispy with the aroma of pure butter.

Also, grape bread is only available on Saturdays! It's grape-shaped and looks cute, and it's so popular that people have to reserve it.

You can tear it apart and eat it, so it's easy to eat even though it's so filling. It's filled with raisins that have been soaked in rum for three weeks, giving it a mature flavor. It's perfect as a light snack, but it also goes well with wine.
