Cafe & Bar KARDIA, a hidden bar that quietly opened on the first floor of the popular old-style cafe "Kuramoto Gohan & Cafe Sakagura Kai" in Yamanashi City, will be celebrating its six-month anniversary on June 1th. There are probably many people who still don't know about it!

The storehouse, which was once a storage shed, was renovated and transformed into a fantastical space, evolving into a place of new value.

The owner is actually a current university student! Takumu Watanabe's dream of starting a business while he was still a student matched with Kai's desire to somehow utilize this wonderful brewery, and so Cafe & Bar KARDIA was born. The interior design and painting were all done by Watanabe himself, creating a unique space.

One of the attractions is that you can enjoy original cocktails made with "Kai", the pride and joy of sake from Yoro Sake Brewery, the only sake brewery in Yamanashi City.
The "Kai Soda" with lemon-flavored caramel is visually stunning. The original "Kai" has an alcohol content of 20%, but the lime and carbonation make it easy to drink, making it the perfect cocktail for your first drink.

Unfortunately, today is non-alcoholic, so I ordered lemonade.

The beautiful nuanced color of butterfly pea stands out. Even if it's non-alcoholic, you can enjoy this extraordinary time in the same mood as the people who drink.

Today's homemade smoked food is an assortment of cheese and konjac. The delicious flavor of the cheese and the gorgeously fragrant smoked cheese, which has been carefully smoked with cherry chips, and the slightly spicy konjac with a faint smoky aroma are addictive...It's a moment when I truly regret not being able to drink it.

The prosciutto is presented like a rose flower and is topped with fresh, fragrant extra virgin olive oil.

"There's no cover charge, so you can just drop in and have a non-alcoholic drink and go home," says Watanabe with a smile. But next time, I'll have a cocktail instead of a non-alcoholic one.
Set in a traditional Japanese house, this mysterious space is full of design and is a great place to surrender yourself to the deepening night and lose yourself in this extraordinary moment.
