An old private house that was a sericulture house in 41 was renovated with a carpenter while using the beams and foundation as they are.
"I don't have the skill of a store owner, but I tried to make the space more enjoyable," says Mr. Ishii.
The second floor is planned to be used as a guest house in the future.

Once the decision was made to open the store, things naturally began to gather.
Things made from scrap wood, things received, things found at the demolition site, tea boxes that were originally here are used as tables, and plates are used as lights.
And an old clock that suddenly started to move... each has an amazing story.

indulge in spices

The spiced chai prepared by Mr. Ishii was so popular that the restaurant became famous as a chai specialty shop.
You can change the spiciness and other ingredients according to your taste, and for those who can take it slow, you can mash it on the spot to create a depth of aroma and flavor and a three-dimensional effect.

Red bean paste cooked in an oven at Kiyodo in Mie Prefecture is sandwiched between bread from Pukugari in Chitosekarasuyama.
A signboard menu born from the circle of people who repeated miraculous encounters.
We are particular about the balance between the gentle sweetness of the bean paste, the fluffy buns, and the deliciousness of the rich butter.

The counter made of a single 4.5m zelkova board is thick and beautiful.
The dynamic wood grain and overwhelming presence are outstanding.
This is also a warm story from a carpenter friend who exchanged it for a cup of coffee.

After the interview

"Recreating the good old days is full of things that are considered inconvenient in modern times.
When I take a detour, I often make new discoveries and encounters,” said Mr. Ishii.
In a space where you want to enjoy the inconvenience, the circle of people is connected like a chain.
